Avatar directed by multiple oscar winning movie Titanic is ready ready with another movie named AVATAR. This movie is going to be released this friday 18th december just before the Christmas arrival.
Here is a small synopsis as per Inox.
AVATAR is a live action film with a new generation of special effects, delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind. We enter the alien world through the eyes of Jake Sully, a former Marine confined to a wheelchair. But despite his broken body, Jake is still a warrior at heart. He is recruited to travel light years to the human outpost on Pandora, where corporations are mining a rare mineral that is the key to solving Earth`s energy crisis. Because the atmosphere of Pandora is toxic, they have created the Avatar Program, in which human “drivers” have their consciousness linked to an avatar, a remotely-controlled biological body that can survive in the lethal air. These avatars are genetically engineered hybrids of human DNA mixed with DNA from the natives of Pandora… the Na`vi.

“Is the story super-awesome? –no.” The story is one of earth you non-thinking humanoid. It is based on what is all around us, what the human heart is losing fast… nature and goodness, all for what, a profit? The way we (white humans) have interacted with this world since the beginning of time, to conquer it! Well we’ve (“in the name of progress) had such disregard for the planet earth that we are part of, not separate, not better than, that in destroying her with pollution we are destryoing ourselves with disease and cancer. I think this movie is meant to be more than a cinematography masterpiece, it is a wake up call, a looking glass. We have to do something!! Lets Do Something 🙂

FINAL VERDICT: HATED IT, 0/5 Come to think of it, why did they even call it “Avatar?” It would have made a lot more sense to call the film “Pandora,” after the moon on which the story is based.

Hey I heard Watchmen is the only graphic novel to appear on TIMES magazine’s list of “100 best language novels”. How cool is that :). Check out their facebook page http://tinyurl.com/facebook-watchmen

Story – Main character, Jake, infiltrates a tribe of aliens on some planet. This tribe resides on the source of some highly expensive mineral. The tribe must be wiped out because of it. Jake starts to like his new friends, because they seem to be cool and in harmony with their nature. He also fell in love with female alien, Nscho-tschi, er… Neytiri. Battle between humans and aliens. The end. — Well, not only has been this around thousand times over and over again, but it (go figure!) might have taken some bits from the history as well. Dances with Wolves have been mentioned in some reviews and I can think of even more accurate example – Enemy Mine (1985). Wiping the native Americans was a damn shame from any angle, but please, we all have got the point that it was wrong, OK? Get over it and don’t breed the hate among the dumb mooing cattle. If you need some movie history lesson from this area, go see the Little Big Man (1970), the plot is exactly the same, only you won’t need the 3D goggles.

I have never been so close to leave the movie theater, as i was when seeing Avatar. Sure, it’s very beautiful to look at, but, if you’ve seen the trailer, then you’ve seen the movie! It’s basically every movie clichés put together in one horrible and so unoriginal movie. it’s a mix of the “last samurai” meets “Pocahontas” meets “Atlantis”! it’s by far the most horrible storyline since Ed Woods’ “plan 9 from outer space”.
