Australia won U19 world cup today for the third time by defeating their strong opponent Pakistan. Australia set a target of 208 for a loss of 9 wickets, but Pakistan only managed to make 182 runs. Australia defeated Pakistan by 25 runs. Pakistan were all out at 182 only.
Australia has previously won this title in 1987-99 and also in 2001-2002. While Pakistan has won back to back title in 2004 and 2006.
Today the highest scorer from Aussie’s side was tail end Batsmen richardson who made 44 out of 38 and helped Australia have a decent score. None of the Batsman made even a half century, the batting line up was quite lose today, but nevertheless Australia bowling part is their Strength who proved their might by stopping Pakistan at 182 only.
From Pak side Sarmad Bhatti took highest 3 wickets and Butt managed to take 2 wickets. From Pakistan side, Ahmed Shehzad mad highest of merely 36 runs and thus there non of the batsmen shown their batting performance at the required place. From Australian side JR Hazlewood took 4 wickets while L A Doran took 3 wickets.
JR Hazlewood was judged as man of the match while man of the series was given to DA Hendricks.
