Watch Federer vs Davydenko live in Australian Open quarterfinals

Men’sÂ SinglesÂ thirdÂ quarterfinalsÂ will be played soon Â betweenÂ Roger Federer and Nikolay Davydenko. This match is scheduled to be played in Rod Laver Arena in just a few moment from now.

Nikolay Davydenko has already defeated Federer, Rafael Nadal and Juan Martin del Potro previously at World Tour finals 2009 in London followed his win in Doha. Despite this fact, Russian Davydenko is not hot favorite to win this match.

Well also before start of the match, lets pray there will no wild card or any injury case that occurred in last quarterfinal’s between Nadal and Murray. And Andy murray advanced in the next phase of the Australian open Tennis tournament.

Google Voice out for iphone and Palm OS

Today Google officially launched Google voice for iphone and palm OS. This Google Voice web app is based on HTML 5 that provides you fast and handy mobile experience.

One of the most interesting part of this is that – You need not require a application to download and install. One have to just point to your web address to m.google.com/voice and sign yourself with google voice account. And the rest will be taken care off. By this method one can directly use this web app, which would have otherwise need to close your browser and open that app separately. After that you can call from your phone show your Google Voice number as the caller ID.

Some of the important features like Dialer, Compose SMS, Inbox or Contacts can be accessed quickly adding to your home screen of iphone.

Also you can send message to your friends from this app for free. To write a message Go to “Quick Compose” , type a number or select a contact, write the message and send. Its so simple with such low call rates.

For those who don’t know about this app. Here is a brief
” Google Voice is a service that enhances the existing capabilities of your phone numbers. With it, you can access your voicemail online, read automatic transcriptions of your voicemail, create personalized greetings based on who is calling, make cheap international calls,”. But this feature has not been made opened to all and at present its only invitation based.

Zheng and Henin in semifinals – kirilenko out

Today Justin Henin defeated Nadia Petrova to become the first women to enter the semis in this Australian Open 2010. Petrova gave a good fight, but anyhow Henin won in two straight sets 7-6(3) 7-5. The other biggest upset occurred when Jie Zheng of China defeated Maria Kirilenko of Russia in simple straight two sets. She thrashed Kirilenko by 6-1, 6-5.

Jie Zheng became the first Chinese to way ever goto semis of Australian Open. And the way she defeated Kirilenko, it seems this time she is another big mountain to cross. In 2008, she also managed to enter into the semis first time into Grand Slam playing Single in Wimbledon. ABout four year ago she has paired with Yan ZI to win the first ever Grand Slam for their most populous country.

And Henin Hardin dream to win the championship looks possible as their only two hindrance her way to get her next Grand Slam. With the score Card its obvious to get that she had a good clash with Petrova, but anyhow she managed to move one step ahead. After coming out of retirement, this was her second match and she managed too book her seat in last four in race of Australian open Women Championship.

Henin said in an interview that ” I am very surprised to reach the semifinals”. She said she is feeling more calm bu the pressure will be coming soon in coming days.
After the loss of Petrova and Kirilenko, now there will be no Russian in Women’s Race for Championship. Since 2004, there was at least one Russian in last four in Australian Open.

Australian open quarterfinal begins – Andy Roddick vs Cilic first

On day 9th of Australian Open 2010, world will witness first quaterfinals match under men’s category on 26th January. In this match Andy Roddick seeded 7th from US will Clash with Marin Cilic of Croatia who is ranked 14th in this tournament. This match will be played between Rod Laver Arena at 11:00 hours.

This match will follow the second quarterfinal match between Andy Murray of Great Britain ( Rank 5) with world’s number 2 position holder Rafael Nadal at the same court at 19:30hrs.

Seventh seeded Andy Roddick has just managed to overcome a dead end by defeating a strong challenger Fernando Gonzalez and booked a quarter final seat. He defeated Gonzalez in 5 sets 6-3 3-6 4-6 7-5 6-2 in almost three and half hours. In second and third set, Gonzalez gave a huge setback, but Rodick managed to defeat him by winning last two consecutive sets.

On the same day on 26th of Jan, two matches of Woman quarterfinals will take place. Justine Henine will clash with Nadia Petrova of Russia and in second match Jie Zheng of China will clash with Maria Kirilenko of Russia. Thisday will also witness two matches of Men’s doubles and women’s doubles.

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara new version as Phir Mile Sur

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara – Song that is considered among the most patriotic song which emphasize the common spirit of unity in diversity. Everybody must have heard it somewhere, as earlier on Doordarshan Channel it was telecastes on a regular basis and which had involved every superstar, sportstar, ministers, singers and all famous personalities of India.

This time a new version of Mile Sur mera Tumhara named Phir Mile Sur was launched today on the eve of Republic Day. Amitabh Bachchan launched this song today and was proud that he was the only one who was common in both the songs.

The older version of Mile Sur Mera Tumhara involved many personalities like Amitabh bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar, Mithun Chakraborty, Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Kamal Haasan, Sharmila Tagore, Tanuja and Waheeda Rehman and so on. This newer version includes stars like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Shankar Mahadevan, Juhi Chawla, Shaan, Shahid kapoor and many more.

But the legacy left by old one is incomparable with new one. New one doesn’t stand anywhere near the old humble and sweet Mile Sur Mera Tumhara.

Picasso Painting The Actor damaged by a NY woman

Today a woman unintentionally damagedÂ a world famous painting “The Actor” made by Pablo Picasso.Â While watching those masterpiece she accidentally loose his control and fell against it. This painting masterpiece was worth dollar 130 million( 80 million pound).

This woman from New York was visiting the MetropolitanÂ Museum where she loose her balance and ripped this one causing a six inch tear at bottom of this painting. This unknown woman was not injured but she unwillingly committed a blunder. This event have caused a lot of depression among the art lovers and they are also blaming the museum committee for poor management of historical masterpiece.

This painting depicts a male in yellow-pink costume standing in stylish manner and this was completed in period of 1904-05. As per the sources, this painting in the second floor gallery in between painting of old Spanish Artists.

Till now , the museumÂ have not elaborated regarding this whole mess up. They have not clarified how this women fell on that masterpiece. But whatever may be the reason, the painting is damaged, but the good part is that,Â their is no damage in focus area of the painting.
