First time in Indian Cricket, Dhoni as a captain saw defeat in any Test Match today. India lost to S Africans by an inning and 6 runs. Despite Sachin Century in 2nd Innings, India couldn’t avoid the shameful defeat against South African Players.
Despite the early breakthrough in the first innings when Zaheer Khan got two early wickets, two South African players stood firmly as a wall and played wonderfully and created a huge score of 556 for loss of 6 wickets. Amla and Kallis made a big partnership with Amla scoring a double century for his team.
India started pretty well with Sehwag scoring a ton but again after Sehwag’s loss Indian players succumbed to African players and got bowled out for a mere 233 runs. In first innings Steyn caused a big pain to Indians as he took a total of seven wickets including wicket of Sachin Tendulkar. India got follow on and again Indian had to play the second innings and chase that massive total.
In Second innings only Sachin resisted a bit till he made his century, and no other batsman able to stand for their team. Again Steyn and harris did a early damage to India and India finally lost the first test.
DW Steyn made a whooping ten wickets howl against Indians in the first test match. Hashim Amla declared man of the match and Kepler Wessels and the new coach congratulated the players for this big victory.
oh..sad..but india will be back with a bang in next test at EDEN
