After the December release of Aamir Khan’s 3 idiots, the next biggest movie that was awaited was Shahrukh Khan’s My name is Khan.
Like 3 idiots Shahrukh Khan’s MNIK didn’t left a good impression on Indian people rather it grabbed attention of people outside India. I am talking about box office collection of My name is Khan in UK.
While comparing both movie 3 idiots vs MNIK, My name is Khan leaves 3 idiots behind in UK but overall collection in first week for MNIK is much less than Aamir’s 3 idiots.
My Name is Khan has become Bollywood’s most successful box office opener in Britian and it has already grossed more than 936,000 pounds since its release 12th February. This movie entered the UK box office chart at number six leaving behind Invictus and A Single Man( english movies).
The movie release on 12th February grabbed the full attention of youth world wide as it follows the valentine’s day. Movie was going housefull in many places of country for that day and in West Bengal in many areas it was sold out for a week. But the expectation of viewers was not fulfilled, people told that movie have no such content specially for youths ( love and romance like thing which 3 idiots had).
People had started comparing MNIK vs 3 idiots and due to high class movie of Aamir, My name is Khan was not anywhere around it. People told movie is good, nice theme, good message but its not entertaining. This movie will let you cry but not laugh at any instant.
Both the movies can’t be compared. One is a fun movie the other is a movie with a message. Shah Rukh is great in the movie. I luv it.

To be very frank, there cannot be comparasion between 3 and MNIK, cause they have different message and targeted at different kind of audience.

MNIK is very good movie. one of the best. Its not very Entertaining because we see SRK as a different person.
But if u think about his illness u might see what a great love story and his love toward Mandira (kajol). Excellent movie must see.

MNIK is a mile stone movie and instead of appreciating pls don’t be jeaolous ,learn from germans ,when they can appreciate and die for MNIK as an Indian we should be proud of Karan Johar and Sharukh Khan.In fact many foreigners are allready been commented that “it will take centuries to get such a talented actor like Sharukh.(most of them even don’t who is the PM of India) .Don’t comment like an illiterate Indian ,because of our this attitude we are behind in many sectors ,so learn and learn to appreciate thinks which are really good.only one scene of MNIK is good enough to declare the film is a classic.

Both MNIK and 3 idiots are great movies. There is no point comparing the two, both have different messages and target different audiences. MNIK will be a bigger hit overseas as it has an international theme. 3 idiots was a bigger hit in India due to its focus on Indian educational system and jokes pertaining to Indian culture.

3 Idiots was hands down the better movie of the two. I give 3I 10 out of 10… Igive MNIK 7 out of 10, just to be fair. The movie could have been better had someone else acted in it rather than SRK… he was trying too hard to pull it off…& his acting just did not come across very natural. After 3I came out…everyone was in an awww of the movie…saying…”have you seen 3 idiots??” & most people did actually watch the movie more than once… with MNIK, I have not had 1 person recommending to watch the movie…& I have no desire to watch the movie again. It was just OK…it totally did not deserve the publicity. Shahrukh being the low life, hypocrite, arrogant, egoistic guy he is…can’t accept the fact Aamir’s movie could be better than his… had to come up with all the controversies and promote his movie in a way no movie has ever been promoted… WTF…. he is taking us for fools… we will watch a movie if we want to watch a movie… not because of all the hype that was created… ultimately, audience is smart…& the movie with the most $$’s at the box office will prove everything…hopefully put the low life…SOB in his place.

listen sonia i dun say u r wrong but, i watched MNIK thrice and i watched 3 idiots 5 times but still isay MNIK was better, it has become a matter of world s attraction, life is a race aur tum tej nahi bhagoge to kohi tumhey kuchalkar aghey nikal jayega, so did sarukh, amir was genius in 3 idiots well amitab was with strange disease in paa, and i think sarukh topped them by being both genius and somewhat psycho diseased in MNIK most importantly, his movie contains the most important message of love and religious tolerances and the muslims who are treated terrorist all the time being innocent, so its the voice of all of us i think so, and about acting not your forefather nor your coming generation have seen or cud see in future a better actor than him, its my personal message for u on behalf of my best sarukh. in fact we all need to have the same disease as sarukh in MNIK inorder to live a life of truth of beauty and goodness.

I saw both the movies. I saw MNIK for 6 times while 3I only one. MNIK touched my heart so deeply that I am remembering all the scenes. 3I is a bullsheet!!!!! Do u know why??? How Amirr and R. Madhban acted as college students??? How Amir stood first after doing some rubbish things. This film always inspires students to be naughty and how a student committed suicide after such a silly thing???? The romance between Amirr and Kareena was as usual bollywood filmi style. So, to me 3I is just a rubbish and time passing movie or nothing else which only attracts the fool Indian people. But MNIK is a movie of humanity which is acclaimed by internationally.

For people who can’t find ithe message in 3 idiots they need to see it again. The message was loud and clear from start till end. “Do what gives you a satisfaction rather than chasing other’s dream”. I think we need a sensible lot here who can watch the movie , enjoy it and understand it. Unfortunately there are very few but anyway we are getting there after all more than 50% of India is still illiterate. and srk is still God. I wish them luck.
