BJP to withdraw support from Shibu Soren’s JMM-led alliance

Following high drama since Soren’s voting against the Cut motions in Lok Sabha, Bharatiya Janta Party has withdrawn from the Shibu Soren-led alliance with BJP.

Today the decision about this came after BJP’s 12-member Parliamentary Board meeting held at the Parliament house.


 

Son of the Chief Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Hemant Soren told in his explanation that ‘cut motion voting’ was only a ‘human error’ and his party JMM had nothing to do with the Congress party in the state.

BJP senior leaders told that such act is definitely is an act of betrayal, hence it completely unacceptable.

ICC 2010 T20 world cup schedule and fixture

ICC 2010 T20 world cup begins from April 30. Before that several men’s and women’s warm up matches has been scheduled for the practice of every team.

First match of ICC 2010 world cup T20 features the match of Group B teams – New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Providence.



Here is the complete schedule or fixture of the ICC 2010 T20 world cup.

 

The men’s tournament will be contested by 12 teams, which have been split into four groups of three. There are two seeded teams in each group.

Pakistan – A1 Sri Lanka – B1 South Africa – C1 West Indies – D1
Bangladesh – A2 New Zealand – B2 India – C2 England – D2
Australia Zimbabwe Afghanistan Ireland

Each group will be played on a round-robin basis with the top two sides progressing to the Super Eight stages.

In the Super Eight stages the groups will be made up of the following teams:

B2 A2
C1 C2
D2 D1

Team names for the Super Eight stage are indicative, based on the top two teams from the Group stage qualifying.

If these two teams do qualify, they will be seeded in position one and two as specified, regardless of whether they finish first or second in their group. For example, if Bangladesh wins Group A and Pakistan comes second, for the purposes of the Super Eights, Pakistan will still be A1 and Bangladesh will be A2. If for example, Australia qualifies instead of Bangladesh, Australia will be A2.

Each side will play three matches, on a round-robin basis, with the top two teams progressing to the semi-finals.

Women’s Groups (all of First Round in St. Kitts)

The women’s tournament will be contested by eight teams, which have been split into two groups of four.

WWE 2010 extreme rules results

World Wrestling Entertainment main event match Extreme rules 2010 concluded successfully yesterday. It saw many upsets and few new champions. It featured three title matches, but only one title change on yesterday Sunday in Baltimore.


 

The first match of WWE extreme rules was between Triple H and Sheamus. But Sheamus found nowhere and from behind he started assaulting Triple H. Triple H was attacked by lead pipe and was taken back when he become unconscious. Later Sheamus defeated Triple H.

Miz and The Big Show defeated John Morrison and R-Truth by DQ. Nature of the DQ was submission over the ropes. MVP and Mark Henry were the next pair to come through the curtain to challenge them but again they managed to win. The Hart Dynasty came at last defeated the champions in less than 10 seconds.

C M Punk defeated Rey Mysterio in the second match of WWE Extreme rules 2010.

One of the main event match included fight of WWE World Heavyweight Title Match between Jack Swagger vs. Randy Orton. Swagger hit the Gutwrench Powerbomb to retain the title which followed a RKO by Orton on the champ outside the ring.

Edge defeated Chris Jericho in the steel cage match.

Finally in Last Man Standing Match between John Cena and Batista, Cena retained the title.

Chirayu Amin IPL interim Chairman after Lalit Modi

President of the Baroda Cricket Association and Vice President of BCCI Chirayu Amin has been unanimously selected as the Indian Premier League Chairman.

Just after the announcement of suspension of former IPL Chairman Lalit Modi, BCCI president Shashank Manohar announced Amin as the new IPL interim Chairman.


 

Shashank also added that the board’s chief administrative officer, Ratnakar Shetty, would look into the records and documents of the Indian Premier League.

Manohar in a press conference in Mumbai after the meeting told that – In the last 15 days, there were lot of allegations and counter allegations made through media, as a result of which, the board looked into the allegations levelled and took a decision to issue a show cause notice to Lalit Modi, and pending inquiry.

Manohar also told that if Lalit Modi clear his charges in next 15 days then charges against him will be dropped.
