UPSC syllabus 2011 CSAT 2011 new syllabus for Civil Services declared

UPSC has announced the new syllabus for 2011 which includes CSAT. This new syllabus was announced by Union public Service Commission board yesterday.

So here we will have the glimpse of that. For Civil service examination 2011. The preliminary exam will consist of two papers 1 and 2. Both will be of two hours and 200 marks.



Here is the complete syllabus for Civil services 2011 as announced by the Board.

For Paper 1 for 200 marks and Duration 2 hrs —
Current events of national and international importance, History of India and Indian national movement, Indian Polity and governance – constitution, political system, panchayati raj, public policy, Rights issues, etc., Indian and World Geography- physical, social, economic geography of India and the world, Economic and social development – sustainable development, poverty, inclusion, demographics, social sector initiatives etc., General issues on environmental ecology, bio-diversity and climate change-that donot require subject specialization and General science.

Paper 2 will also consist of 200 questions and two hours – It will included Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Decision making and problem solving, General mental ability, Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc. (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. –Class X level), English language comprehension skills (Class X level) and Logical reasoning and analytical ability.
