With the total lift of 287kg at the 16th Asian Games in Dongguan yesterday, Svetlana Podobedova of Kazakhstan claimed her Gold medal in Women’s weightlifting 75 Kg category.
After this victory, Kazakhstan amounted their gold medal count to three and thus targeting one of the good spot in overall medal tally at Asian Games.
Svetlana clinches gold medal in this weightlifting by 22kg margin. Cao Lei of China was in second spot while Tatyana Khromova of Kazakhstan gave her country another bronze.
And apart from that, she also managed to refresh all these world records ( at the 2010 world championships) 132kg in the snatch, 160kg in the clean and jerk and 292kg in total.
