India has levelled the series 1-1 after winning the 2nd test match against home team South Africa. India successfully defended the set target of 303 runs.
VVS Laxman was declared man of the match who scored 96 in the second innings and was the highest scorer for Indian side in both the innings.
India scored 205 and 228 runs while South Africa succumbed to chase the target and only made 131 and 215 runs in the 2nd innings.
From Indian side, Sreesanth and Zaheer Khan took 3 wickets followed by Bhajji who claimed two wickets. One wicket by Ishant and the final wicket of Tsotsobe – a runout by Pujara.
The first and deciding wicket of 4th day was taken by Sreesanth in form of Kallis on one of the superb delivery in this test series.
