So here is the essay topic of XAT 2011 and believe it you will dumbstruck after reading this. Here it goes.
The statesman who should attempt to direct private people in what manner they ought to employ their capitals would not load himself with the most unnecessary attention but assume an authority which could safely be trusted to no council or senate whatever, and which would nowhere be so dangerous in hands of man who had folly and presumption enough to fancy himself fit to exercise it.

The topic means that the regulator like Telecom Regulatory Authority, Elecricity regulatory authority, SEBI and RBI should not gover board in publicity drive and ensure that their authorities are well used to check the legislature and governing ministries which show highhandedness is curryingo ut favours. If this explanation ollks tuf, thats how XAT is. It is oen of the tufest entrance exams in mgt. I doubt whether they test the knoiwledge of the aspirants or their abiltiy to comprehaned abstracts. It is like which of the balls of Dale Styen to leave and which to play. They say only LAx coudl do it well. I wish the LAx of XAT all the best..
