The Amrit Bharat Express trains are a fleet of high speed inter state trains operated by the Indian Railways. Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi on Saturday flagged off these new trains from Ayodhya. Maximum speed capped to 130KMPH as per news agencies.
Two new Amrit Bharat express are Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal (New Delhi) Amrit Bharat express and Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express.
The purpose behind launching the Amrit Bharat Express trains was to provide a faster and more comfortable travel experience between major cities of India. These trains significantly reduce travel time compared to regular express trains on the same routes.

While the Darbhanga origin Amrit Bharat will run on two days, the Malda town origin Amrit Bharat Express will run on only Sunday. Both trains will have only two types of coaches i.e. Sleeper and General. Price for Sleeper coaches for full journey are Rs600 and Rs 925 respectively.
