The first test match between India vs Sri lanka is being played at present moment at Galle. Today Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first.
Batting first Sri Lanka made 256 for loss of two wickets Dilshan and Sangakkara. And this total has two centuries in it made by Sangakkara and Paranavitana. Sangakkara made 103 runs before he got out on ball of Sehwag and Paranavitana is unbeaten at 110 runs.
Match has been delayed owing to bad light which was followed by rain. From India side, Mithun and Sehwag were able to grab one wicket each for India. Apart from these two nobody have managed take even one.
From India A Mithun is making his test debut. And Ishant Sharma has also been selected for this teat match. But nobody except debutant Mithun and Sehwag have shown any grace in bowling,
From Sri lanka side, Jayawardene and Paravitana are on field to bat and the conditions for them to bat ahead is perfect as they have got a solid start from their team. This team should be looking around 500 plus runs as per their present stat.
