Chennai found it very difficult to continue its winning spree in the CLT 20 series and finally lost in their third match against Victoria in one over eliminator after the match tied.
Earlier Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first. In full 20 over sthey managed to make 162 runs out of which 73 were from Murali Vijay’s bat.
Victoria batting second made same score of 62 runs in full 20 overs and using all 10 wickets. After the tie, match was decided by One over eliminator in which Chennai lost.
In final one over eliminator super over, Victoria smashed 23 runs in 6 balls while Chennai Super Kings only manged to score 13 runs in 6 balls.
Now in three matches, both team has won two and lost one. David Hussey was the one from Victoria who smashed three sixes in 3 balls and saved their team to stay alive in the tournament. Man of the match was Finch.
