Khan Academy awarded $2 million in Google Project $10million

Khan Academy has been selected as one among the five Projects that has been awarded in Google Project 10^100. Khan Academy has been given $2 millions to enhance their Academy to larger extent.


The Khan Academy is a non-profit educational organisation that provides high-quality, free education to anyone, anywhere via an online library of more than 1,600 teaching videos.

And Google team told that – We are providing $2 million to support the creation of more courses and to enable the Khan Academy to translate their core library into the world’s most widely spoken languages.

Other four selected Projects were First, Public.Resource.Org, shweeb and African Institute for Mathematical Sciences. They were awarded $3 millions, $2million, $1 million and $2million respectively.

The Khan Academy is a not-for-profit educational organization created and sustained by Salman Khan. Salman Khan is a Bangladeshi American born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana.[3] His father hails from Barisal, Bangladesh as per wikipedia.
