Today finally after a severe competition Mahinda Rajapska won Sri lankan Presidential re-election. Rajapaksa almost got 60% of the total votes in first post-LTTE era of Sri Lanka. He defeated former army chief Sarath Fonseka to win this election.
As one need to get more than 50% to win the election, he successfully got almost 59% of votes in favour of him. Total number of votes were close to 60 lakh and finally after agiving atough competition by Fonseka, he managed to win this election.
As per the report, this election concluded very peacefully and and no criminal activity has been reported today during thw whole course of election. And thus 64-year-old Rajapaksa got this victory without any anti social activity.
