Anees Bazmee upcoming movie Thank You is all over the fans and its hit number Pyaar Do Pyaar lo is going to be a big hit.

Alam Ara movie 80th anniversary – New Google Doodle

Alam Ara movie which is the first Indian movie which has sound is completing its 80th Anniversary today. Its the latest Google Doodle for India.


Alam Ara movie which means The Light of the World was made in 1931 and was directed by Ardeshir Irani was the first Indian talkie movie.

Earlier movies like Raja Harishchandra and others were there – but with no sound. Raja Harishchandra movie was the first Indian movie though.

Cast of this movie included Master Vithal, Zubeida ,Jillo, J. Sushila (as Sushila), Prithviraj Kapoor, Elizer, Wazir Mohammed Khan, Jagdish Sethi and L. V. Prasad.

Yesterday one of the bollywood actress Gul Panag tied in the wedding knot with Rishi Attari at Panchkula place near Chandigarh.

The wedding ceremony of this pair was organised at a Gurudwara in Haryana which was followed by reception for all invitees.


It was a very limited ceremony where only close ones were invited bu which also included Shruti Seth, Koel Puri and her new movie Turning 30 director Alankrita.

With heavy neklaces and hand filled with bangles, she was in Pink Lehnga while the groom was in Pink turban with Sherwani in cream colour.
