Le Tour de France 2011 route has been announced and as expected the starting point for this event is Vendée on the west coast of France. It was announced in Tour de France 2011 presentation today.

This event started in Paris, France at 11:00am CET today. The opening ceremony of Tour De France will take place in Fromentine on the coast followed by a parade by the riders around the Ille de Normoutier followed by a crossing of the Passage de Gols and then it will begin from the roads of the Vendee with 3175Km ahead till the end of race.
