Somdev Devvarman won gold medal in tennis men’s singles

Somdev Devvarman won the gold medal in men’s singles Tennis at Commonwealth games in New Delhi today. He defeated Greg Jones of Australia in this game and claimed the victory.

Somdev beat Greg Jones by 6-4, 6-2 in finals at R.K Khanna Tennis Stadium today. And he broke the Australia’s monopoly on Gold medals in tennis men’s singles.



After the victory he told to the reporters that – “People underestimate how tough it is to get a gold medal. I worked really hard this week. I am really happy”.

Australia has already won almost all gold medals in tennis like Women’s Singles, Women’s Doubles and Men’s Doubles Gold medals. And this victory really came as a shock to them.

Indian star Sania Mirza already had lost a game to Australian Rodionova earlier. So this victory came as a big relief for Indian tennis side as top notch players haven’t performed as per expectations.

2nd test Day 2 live score of India vs Australia match

First day of India and Australia match ended due to bad light at 285/5 in 85.5 overs of Australia. Aussies started day 2 with a bang by hitting some of the best knocks including many fours and few sixes.


In day 2 at present Australia is at 348 runs at end of 98 overs. North and paine are quite stable on the ground and it seems that they are set for some big score out there.

After the scintillating victory in first test match against Aussies Indian team is back with full spirits on the field. Today Australia won the toss and elected to bat first.

Australia has lost there three crucial wickets of Watson, Katich and Michael Clarke. And at presently are at 167 for 3 in 50.3 overs.

Diaz vs Noons II strikeforce live on October 9

Mixed martial arts competition strikeforce will go live on October 9 2010. This will feature main clash of the event – rematch of Nick Diaz and KJ Noons.

The first bout between Diaz and Noons was stopped because of a cut on the head of Diaz for the Elite XC 160lbs championship. So here we got the second one.


Preliminary cards match will include matches between Bret Bergmark vs. James Terry, Ron Keslar vs. Josh McDonald and
Jess Bouscal vs. Luis Mendoza.

India Australia test score 2010 Day 5 live at cricinfo

The battle on 4th day between the Team India and Australia ended with Australia on top. Now Indian team seems to be in terrible state at the end of day 4.
