On Jan 23rd 1897, a great Indian patriot was born – Subhash Chandra Bose who was a prominent leader of India and who made India independent with his will power and struggle. Today India is celebrating his 113rd birthday and remembering his contributions for this country. Thats why on this eve, India celebrates “Desh Prem Diwas” on occasion of Netaji Birthday.
On this occasion, Trinamool Congress leader Mamta Bannerjee unveiled a tall statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in front of Alipore Police court today. Similarly at several different places of India, many competition like slogan writing, painting are being organized in his memory.
Netaji was elected as Indian National Congress president for two successive terms but later resigned from his post due to his ideological fight with Mahatma Gandhi. He didn’t believed in Gandhi concept of Non violence, hence he himself started a separate party ” All India Forward Block” to fight against britishers.
Subhash Chandra is mostly remembered by his words – Give me blood and i will give you freedom . In Hindi, “tum mujhe khoon do , mai tumhe aazadi dunga”. As per assumptions he died on 18th Aug 1845 in some plane crash, which is yet not confirmed and remainded a mystery for ever.
