Kochi Ipl and Pune IPL teams set for 2011 – owned by Sahara and Rendezvous Sports

Kochi IPL team and Pune IPL team are ready to rock in Indian Premier league version of 2011. IPL 4 will see these two new cricket teams next year.


Kochi Teams was owned by Rendezvous Sports while Pune Ipl team bid was won by businessman Subrata Roy of Sahara India. Lalit Mosdi told that only five bidders were there to bid, but the process was very difficult.

Next year there will be a total of 10 teams than previous 8 teams and a total of 94 matches will be played in IPL 2011.

Reportedly, Sahara Group purchased the Pune IPL team for whooping Rs 1702 crores, while Rendezvous Sports bought the Kochi team for Rs 1533 crores.

Modi told that, he is not sure whether he will add any more teams in Indian Premier league 2011.

MI vs RCB – Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Mumbai Indians in IPL T20

Today in the 14th match of Indian Premier League season 3, Royal challengers Bangalore defeated Sachin led Mumbai Indians. RCB defeated MI by 7 wickets today.



Today Mumbai Indians won the toss and chose to bat. No players from Mumbai Indians crossed 25 runs. So they anyhow managed a score of 151 runs and set a target of 152 for RCB to chase.

Royal challenger Bangalore started pretty well. Openers Kallis and Pandey pertnership contributed 85 runs which was a big platform to provide. Later on Uthappa and Kohli joined the victory race and ease the win.

Kallis made his 7th fifty in today’s match and he scored 66runs of 55 balls. Kohli scored two consecutive sixes of Harbhajan ball which made a big difference.

After winning this match, Royal challengers are at top spot in points table with 6 points followed by Mumbai Indians with 4 points.

Today after batting first Deccan Chargers set a target of 171 runs to chase. The batsmen of Kings XI Punjab seems crumbling to this score of 170 runs as they time to time lost their wickets.

Adam Gilchrist again had a good knock at initial stage by making 33 runs of 12 balls before he got caught by Jayawardene. Later on VVS Laxman left the ground following injury and got retired hurt.



Andrew Symonds made his half century and scored 53 runs of 33 balls which included three big sixes. Collectively they gave a target of 171 runs for Kings XI Punjab.

Kings XI Punjab started collapsing right from the beginning and they lost Bisla on duck which followed captain Sangakkara who again scored a duck. Bopara on one side handled other end properly, but one end started collapsing. Punjab lost Bopara at 68 runs.

At present in DC vs KXIP ( Deccan vs Punjab), Punjab is at 1-4 for 6 with 4 overs remaining. They need 65 runs in four overs. A juggernaut task to complete
