Goa movie review and Tamizh Padam review – tamil movie rocks

Well this week tamil movie industry saw two new release as Goa and Tamizh padam. Well having a good story line both movie are expected to hit the big screen.

First have a look on Film Cast followed by review

Goa

Cast: Jai, Premji Amaran, Vaibhav, Sampath and Sneha
Director: Venkat Prabhu

Review – This movie is typical masala movie which will be liked mainly by youths as it contains stuffs like wine, girls, love, fun without involving much seriousness in it. The film is inspired from a real life incident which took place at Goa, in which a man was charged for raping a British teenager. Well as all youths want to do that thing ( marry white girl) in their age group, so they are in same hunt. They visit to Goa, want to enjoy their life and marry a white woman and settle abroad. But the real twist comes, when they are trapped in the some conspiracy involving all three of them for her death. The story begins from fun, enjoyment with a good comedy in beginning and the story diverts towards a thriller end.
Good acting not involving much essence of good direction. but seems close to realistic. Looks similar story line as of Hindi movie Jail where Neil Mukesh trapped without committing a crime.

Tamizh padam movie

Cast: Siva, Disha Pandey, MS Baskar, Manobala
Director: C.S. Amudhan

Review- Coming to tamizh padam, its a comedy movie which again shifts towards emotional attyachaar at end for love. This movie is a spoof on commercial mass movies that follow the same formula. Hero will fall in love with a rich girl, however she is out of reach of him and definitely gets her and then fights with her father who is a damn politician for the sake of his ethics.

Well as per the story, plot and acting , both deserves a rating of 3 star.

Rann movie review and rating – RGV is back

Before going in depth of the full review of this Amitabh Bachchan’s latest venture. First have a look on starcast and a brief synopsis.

Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Mohnish Behl, Manisha Koirala, Rajat Kapoor, Gul Panag, Raima Sen

Director: Ram Gopal Varma

Producer: Vistaar Religare Film Fund, Cinergy Productions

Genre – Drama

Movie full name – ” Rann – The New(s) Battle”

Synopsis – Rann is a battle between three main dominating strikers of modern India – News media, Industrial Bureaucrats and corrupt politicians. When a voice of conscience cannot be heard, When democracy is remote controlled by few people (Politicians), Will we ever know the truth. And so here comes Rann means battle –Battle of News publishing channels who dares to publish true face of society and struggle itself to survive

Rating – ****star ( 4 star)

Review –
Same old story, same topic but strong character with brilliant performance. Yes, if we talk about the story, that’s not something that you can call new – But its sensationalism comes when characters have strong hold on their acting, thanx to the comeback of Ram Gopal Verma with a neat and good direction. Amitabh Bachchan’s acting – no doubt about that , simply marvelous.

Amitabh as Vijay Harshvardan owns a news channel publishes stories which is authentic but not that which create sensation and increase TRP of the channel and here come his son who wants to do anything for TRP leaving moral and ethics completely. His son believes idealism is not thing of this world and it will never help increase the viewership, so he comes with a sensational story, gang up with a corrupt politician Paresh Rawal.

After the big flops of RGV, it seems he will repeat his success story (after the big damn RGV ki aag) . Good dialogues and neat delivery catches the eyeballs.

In few words, good fantabulous, neat acting and purely watchable and surely deserves four stars.

Veer movie review – Salman not Rocking

First of all lets have a look on star cast and those responsible for Veer.

Director – Anil Sharma

Cast – Salman Khan, Zarine Khan, Sohail Khan, Mithun Chakraborty, Jackie Shroff, Lisa Lazarus, Gita Soto,  Aryan Vaid, Bharat Dabholkar and Neena Gupta
Veer salman

Before giving a full fledged review, lets have a brief synopsis as per the movie side.

Synopsis – From the pages of Indian history, here is a epic story about love , passion, fierce pride and extreme valour.  As the Britishers enslaved every person, every community even Kings and Nawabs with their divide and rule policy. Every kingdom surrendered themselves in hand of those cunning Britishers, but there was only one community – those brave Pindaris who were not ready to fall to those foreigners. Pindaris ready to give their life in order to save their honour. And the bravest of all among them was Veer – Salman Khan.  As Veer takes on the power of the British Empire, he also has to fight the conniving King of Madhavgarh as well as his own jealous tribesmen.

Review-

Well after reading the brief synopsis, you might have known about the story and those high profile fundas. But the movie goes against their words. Movie ha everything that a masala movie requires. But the low profile story script, lack of imagination and innovation definitely degrades the assumed hifi status of this movie.

Coming to Salman Khan well he his nothing more than Amitabh in Mard.  Definitely some new dialogues, but delivered them the same way like in past 70’s movies. Direction we can say average and incomparable with 3 idiots which is rocking still more than newly released Veer. Few persons told Fyoq, it was better to watch 3 idiots again than this much hyped Veer. Well the sets, plots give a preview of the investments in this movie. Movie have some essence of Gladiator as well.

Running over two and half hours, movie will keep you boring. The best part of the movie is Zarine Khan and her beauty mixed with her elegant style. Only reason that will attract persons twice and nothing more. Once is enough. In few words “Watchable but not enchanting
